All-STAR Team Knocks It Out of the Park!

All-STAR Team Knocks It Out of the Park!

Sep 25, 2019

By: Kim Merchant

At the 2018 General Conference, the Council on History requested volunteers to enter library records into the online catalog, CuadraSTAR. Playing on the catalog name, the Council on History named the group of volunteers the STAR Team. It turned out to be an apt name based on the volunteers’ enthusiasm, skill, and productivity. The team of 14 volunteers entered 4,424 library records into CuadraSTAR in just 10 months! Project completed—ahead of schedule!

At the 2019 General Conference, the Council on History expressed their appreciation for these All-STARS. As part of the recognition program, the Conference President assisted the Council on History by drawing the winning tickets for two raffles. (The volunteers earned tickets each month for the drawings based on how many library records they entered that month.) The drawing winners were Lucy Lawson, Keli Watt, and Fran August. Congratulations!

The Council on History expresses their heartfelt thanks to the entire All-STAR Team:

Fran August

Anthony Bentley

Aaron Browka

Madge Chroniger

Sandy Clare

Leigh Anne Crouch

Nathan Crouch

Samantha Fick

Dean Fox

Heather Gadd

Lucy Lawson

Diane Merchant

Karen Payne

Keli Watt

THANK YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE! More to Come!

In case you are worried that the game is over and you missed the opportunity to join the All-STAR team, don’t be! That was just the first inning! The All-STAR team just started the second inning. In this second year, volunteers have four projects from which to choose:

All that is needed is a computer with an internet connection. Instructions and tutorials will be provided. We ask for a minimum commitment of four hours per month but you set your own schedule.
